Hi! I'm Kirk. I founded a computer vision company with two friends from my university. We built a consumer app and raised $10M in funding. Our app was downloaded over 250 million times. We sold our company to Snap Inc. and successfully integrated our technology into the Snapchat app. We provided the team and investors $100M+ in returns when Snap went public. At Snap I helped scale the engineering team from 30 to 1,000+. I led engineering teams in Los Angeles and launched and staffed an office in Utah. My teams worked primarily on the camera and built the creative tools which hundreds of millions of Snapchatters love and use every day. I retired from Snap after five years and now focus on investing in and advising startups. I have invested in over 250 startups and have several companies in my portfolio which are now valued at $1B+.
The Ideal Fund is a vehicle to fund early-stage venture capital investments. The fund is rolling, which means you subscribe to deal flow through quarterly capital commitments. You may also do a one-time investment and gain access to the following deals in the quarter.
